John Lezinsky Obituary

John "Jack" P. Lezinsky
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved John "Jack" Lezinsky, affectionately known as Poppy to his family. Jack was born in Bridgeport on December 28, 1941, to the late John and Helen (Price) Lezinsky. He peacefully passed away on July 12, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Jack devoted many years of his life to serving his community as a Police and Court Liaison Officer for the Town of Stratford. His unwavering commitment and kind spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Jack's greatest joy in life was always his family. He is survived by his cherished wife of 59 years, Marion (Hoboken) Lezinsky; his two sons, Jonathan Lezinsky and his wife, Melissa, and his cherished granddaughter Addison, all of Stratford; and his son, David Lezinsky, of Norwalk. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Thomas Hoboken, and is survived by his sister-in-law, Cindy Hoboken-Ludemann and her husband, Blair; nieces, Dr. Andrea Russo and Susan Hoboken; and many cousins in Pennsylvania. Jack's family takes comfort in knowing he lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication. In honor of his wishes, all services were held privately. The family asks that, in memory of Jack, you perform an act of kindness, as this was the way he lived every day. He will be deeply missed, but forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew him. Arrangements were entrusted to the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford. To celebrate his life, please visit us at www.galellofuneralhome.com .
