Joseph Michael LaPorta, passed away on Saturday June 18, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Joseph has gone to be with God and his family that has passed before him. He was the only child of Joseph and Pasqualina LaPorta of Stratford Connecticut. He leaves us to be with his Wife Agnes Clementine Alechnowicz LaPorta, Grandmother Rose Armino, Grandfather Frank, Mother Pasqualina, Father Joseph, lifelong best friend Thaddaeus Krok and many other dear family members. Joseph was a member of the first graduating class at the Fairfield College Preparatory School in Fairfield Connecticut and went on to graduate with a degree in engineering from the University of Bridgeport. He leaves behind, His Daughter Ann Marie Lalli, Her husband John, their children, Shawna Wortz, Kristian Wortz, John Lalli, Lindsey Lalli, His son Stanley and his wife Cathie, their children Aislinn Kern, Sarah LaPorta, Joseph S. LaPorta, Lizzie LaPorta, Aislinn's children, His great granddaughters Isabella, Lilliana and Gabriella, Aislinn's husband Edmond Kern, His son Frank and his wife Maria, their daughter Lauren, His son Thomas and his son Mark and Mark's wife Sasha, His son Steven and his wife Cynthia, their children Blaise and his wife Allyson, Sean and his fiancée Tejal, Their Daughter Amanda Holub and her husband Kevin Holub. His son John and his wife Kelly, their sons Trevor, his wife Amanda, their infant daughter Macyn, Their son Alex, their son Bailey, His cousin Michael Agriesta, his loving and caring nurse Svetlana Best, and many other relatives and friends.
Calling hours will take place on Tuesday June 21, 2016 from 9:30am to 10:30am in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St. Bridgeport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11am in Christ the King Parish, Trumbull, followed by interment in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
