Julius Green Obituary

Julius Green
May 30, 2022
Julius Green of Bridgeport died on May 30, 2022 after 100 years and 8 months of hard-working, dignified, loving life. He was married to the love of his life, the late Annette Shapiro Green for just over 75 years. He was born in Bridgeport, the son of the late Jacob Green and Edna Green. Dad is survived by: his daughter, Joanne Green of Atlanta Georgia and her husband Craig Zimring; his son, Daniel Green of Fairfield and his wife Terri Green; his granddaughter, Anne Green of Fairfield and her husband Leonard Braman; his grandson, Zachary Green of Saratoga Springs, New York and his wife Michelle, and great-grandchildren Gwendolyn, Spencer and Quincy Braman.
Julius graduated from Yale University, Class of 1943. He served in the Signal Corps during World War II. He had a long career as an electrical engineer designing antennas for televisions, radar systems and space vehicles.
Dad lived a life of discipline with enough room for fabulous trips with Mom all over the world. He enjoyed golf and tennis, but probably rose to higher levels with his bridge game.
He taught us to enjoy the benefits of hard work and analytical thinking. He was not a fancy man, but he impressed everyone with his friendly intelligence, his reliability and his respect for others.
He was a pillar of our family and we will miss him dearly.
Services will be private. Contributions may be made to the Anti-Defamation League - www.adl.org.
