Karen Russell Obituary

Karen (Orloski) Russell
We are heartbroken to announce that on Monday March 6, 2023, Karen (Orloski) Russell age 68, passed away and is now in the arms of our Lord. Karen was the daughter to the late Helen and Leo Orloski. She was raised in Fairfield, CT, where she graduated from Andrew Warde High School in 1972. Soon after Karen married Alan Russell, her loving husband of 50 years. They shared their life on the Schaghitcoke reservation in Kent, CT, with their loving daughter Crystal Russell. Living in the beautiful woods of Kent, Karen's knowledge of nature and wildlife was abundant. With her green thumb, flowers and plants flourished everywhere, with her heart, the hummingbirds always gathered to sip the nectar she always provided. Karen was so passionate about all animals. There would be a time if you came for a visit, you would be greeted by many dogs and cats, turkeys, roosters even a sheep to name a few. Karen's love for animals, had saved many. Karen was a stylish dresser, but then why wouldn't she be, her favorite hobby, shopping.
We will miss Karen deeply, but we know she is surrounded by love with family that have gone before her. She is survived by her husband Alan, daughter Crystal, sister Lee Orloski, sister-in-law Terri Holmberg, brother-in-law Edward Harrison of Maine, nephews and nieces and our cousins Fran and Judy. A memorial service will be posted at a later date.
