Kathleen A. Murray, age 74, of Ocean View, DE formerly of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Accent Care at Christiana Care Hospice. Kathy was born in Bridgeport, CT on February 15, 1947 daughter of the late Frank Musante and the late Katherine (Oleynik) Musante. She retired from Mid-State Sales & Marketing in Wilmington, DE.
Kathy was a caring and loving person who looked after everyone. If you ever needed anything, Kathy was there for you. She was lovingly referred to as the matriarch and glue of the family. She loved to golf and spend time outside gardening. Kathy was also heavily involved with the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, volunteering her time in organizing the yearly Dunes Pink Classic at Bear Trap Dunes in Ocean View.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three of her brothers, Frank Musante, James Musante and Robert Musante and a sister, Mary La. Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Daniel T. Murray; a son, Sean Murray (Amanda); a grandson, Connor Murray; two brothers, Charles Musante (Frances), Joe Musante; two sisters, Margaret Armitage (Billy) and Evelyn Musante and considerable nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 12 noon until 2 PM on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, DE 19970, where a service will begin at 2 PM. Interment will be held privately in Connecticut.
