Kenneth Miller Obituary

Kenneth B. Miller
Kenneth B. Miller, age 67, of Trumbull, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Norwalk, the son of the late Joseph and Myrtle Miller, he had been a Fairfield resident for most of his life. He was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School and attended Eastern Connecticut State University and The University of Bridgeport. Ken worked as a cab driver for the Fairfield Cab Company and Westport Star Taxi. He enjoyed collecting old toys and attending tag sales. He was a history buff, enjoyed science, space travel, astronomy, and could be seen in past years all over town with his border collie, Calvin. Ken suffered a traumatic head injury as a young child and following numerous medical procedures, hard work and dedication; he proudly overcame his injury and led a productive life. His greatest joy for the last 26 years was spending time with his cherished nephew, Jared, whom he considered his own. Ken will be sadly missed by his brother, Paul R. Miller and his wife Carrie of Monroe, and his loving best friend of 38 years, who he considered a sister, Monique Saunderson and her late husband Mark and their son, Jared Joseph Saunderson, who all lovingly referred to him as Uncle Kenny, of Trumbull and numerous cousins. Friends may gather to celebrate Ken's life Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 4-6 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, friends may consider a donation in Ken's memory to the charity of one's choice.

DAVE WARNER

February 5, 2025

Kenny's dad was my brother Joe. I remember him from the South Pine Creek days. The last time I saw him was at Paul and Carries wedding. He said he was going to California. I don't know if he ever did. I'm sorry that you lost your brother, Paul. Kathy and I will make a donation in his name to Maryknoll Missions. We are in Florida and my Email is [email protected].

So many memories from my childhood with Kenny. My grandmother would always be so annoyed when he would try to take me into the marsh by the house (she was afraid I'd be bitten by ticks), or do other things that would be fun to a kid and a kid at heart! I always enjoyed Sunday evening dinners on the deck at the house, where I was promptly served a 7-Up and grape juice (such a fancy drink to have alongside the vodka gimlets that the adults were drinking!). Always a smile, and a big warm greeting, no matter what phase of my life I saw him in. The picture in this obituary is how I will always see him. Forever missed and in my heart.
