Louis Sereno Obituary
Louis R. Sereno Sr., age 94, of Oxford, formerly of Trumbull where he raised his family before moving to Shelton. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis Montanaro Sereno and passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2023 in the comfort of his home. Born in Bridgeport on January 16, 1929, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Lena Lucia Sereno. A graduate of University of Georgia, where Louis received his Bachelor's Degree of Pharmacy. He was the proud owner and operator of Sereno Pharmacy in Bridgeport for 28 years. He enjoyed going to work every day, talking to his customers and making a difference in many people's lives.
In addition to his beloved wife of 67 years, Phyllis, survivors include his loving son, Michael Sereno and his wife Stacey of Oxford and her children, Lauren Hope and Jared Pettinella, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his best little furry friend and granddog who he loved very much, Jax. He was predeceased by a daughter Lori Anne Sereno and a son Louis R. Sereno Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St. Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. To leave an online condolence please visit www.abriola.com
