Talabac, Louise
Louise Talabac, age 90, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Nicholas G. Talabac, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in New York City, the daughter of the late Thomas and Norma Babu, she had been an area resident for the last five years. Mrs. Talabac was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker dedicated to raising her three sons. She was a talented seamstress, beginning her career in the garment district in New York City and later worked for Singer Sewing Machine and the B. Altman Corporation. Louise will be fondly remembered as a jovial, fun and feisty woman who delighted in time spent with her family. Survivors include three sons, Stephen J. Talabac and his wife Diana of Clarksville, MD, Michael Talabac and his wife Lisa of Stratford and Robert N. Talabac of Long Island City, NY; two sisters, Lucy Shola of Fairfield and Jennie Amadei of Rye, NY; a brother, Victor Babu of Shawnee Mission, KS; three grandchildren, Jennifer N. Vilchis, Miri and Arien Talabac; a niece and a nephew. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Talabac may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Dear Stephen, Michael and Robert,
Sorry for your loss. Your mom will be remembered as outgoing,warm and caring. I remember when we both were in Woonsocket (as a kid on summer vacation) and she and your dad would take Florence and me to the beach and then stopping on the way back for clam cakes. I remember going to the beach with Florence and stopping for clam cakes on the way home.
