Mariana Dias Obituary

DIAS Mariana Dias, age 81 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at St. Vincent Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Parafita Montalegre, Portugal, October 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joaquim and Isabel Dias and was a Bridgeport resident for three years. Survivors include her beloved brothers and sisters, Antonio J. Dias and wife, Maria D. Dias, Maria Isabel Dias all of Bridgeport, Justino Dias and wife, Julia Dias of Brazil, Ana Goncalves and husband, Manuel Goncalves of Portugal and Maria Rodrigues of Portugal; one sister-in-law, Maria Dias of Bridgeport; one brother-in-law, Jose Alves of Brazil; and several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Manuel Dias and one sister, Laurinda Alves. Friends are invited to attend the funeral Friday, July 11, 2008 at 8 a.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport and at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church with a Mass of the Christian Burial. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home.
