Marie Vendetti Riso

RISO Marie Vendetti Riso, age 85 of Bridgeport, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at Northbridge Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport, March 1, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Dominick and Maria Caputo Vendetti. A lifelong Bridgeport resident, Mrs. Riso was the center of all family gatherings and will be sadly missed as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Michael L. Riso; a son, Michael Riso and his wife, Linda of Oxford; two daughters, Diane DelMedico and her husband, Perry of Fairfield and Maribeth Shamas and her husband, Daniel of Trumbull; a sister, Ann Trovarelli of Bridgeport; seven grandchildren, Adam Riso and his wife, Taylor, Brooke and Ashley Riso, Matthew and David DelMedico and Daniel and Lisa Fratarcangeli; as well as many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to her dedicated sister-in-law, Charlotte Ven-detti and niece, June Vendetti. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Joseph and Sam Vendetti; three sisters, Florence DeBiase, Antoinette Ben-edetto and Agnes Minniti; and a son-in-law, Frank Frat-arcangeli. Friends are invited to meet DIRECTLY in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield, Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
