Marilyn Carroll Obituary

Marilyn Frances Carroll
April 13, 1952 - April 7, 2025
Marilyn Frances Carroll, 72, of Milford passed away peacefully Monday, April 7th, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Danny Carroll for 41 years. She was born on April 13th, 1952, a daughter of the late Mario and Frances (Cavoli) Zotti. Marilyn was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile could light up a room. She made everyone feel welcome and a part of the family. She was beloved by everyone that knew her.Marilyn was secretary/director of Operation Save America CT (OSA) and was faithful to the pro-life ministry for 30+ years. She was an extraordinary cook, especially of Italian cuisine and loved to host guests regularly. Her specialty was homemade manicotti (pronounced man-nee-kah-tee) and no party was complete until her anginetti cookies were served. Her favorite place to vacation was Cape Cod and she enjoyed taking beautiful sunset walks on the beach with her husband. Marilyn was also a devout Boston Red Sox fan and watched every game. Marilyn loved her family, especially her grandkids and the absolute joy of her life, her great grandkids. Marilyn loved the Lord most of all. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman and her husband Danny was so proud to call her his wife. Marilyn will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Danny, children Francine and Anthony, siblings Mark (Karen) and Nancy (Tom), grandchildren Cori (Chris) and Colbi (Eric), and great-grandchildren Abel, Judah, Benjamin, Evie, and Ezra.
Her family will be receiving relatives and friends at the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Road, West Haven on Thursday, April 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Parlor service will be held in the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. followed by a procession to St. Mary's Cemetery for burial in Milford. To Danny and Family,

We am saddened to hear the news today about Mer (as I called her). Lena and I will always remember her and you for the countless sacrifices you have made and the awesome hospitality you offered in opening your home to all.

Marilyn had a way of being "lovingly persuasive" (The Velvet Hammer) that no one could ever resist especially when she combined it with her beautiful smile. It was a gift which the Lord worked mightily through her.

She will always be held dear in our memories and our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

With Deepest Sympathies,
Robert and Lena Riley

Danny,
Bob Cooley here. I was one of the leaders of Operation Rescue Connecticut. You and I have met. I´ve been in your home when Flip Benham was there. Tasha Wormley lived my home in New Hartford, CT while she was pregnant with Najai.
I´m writing to simply offer my condolences for your loss, and to say your wife was an extraordinary woman. I have such respect for her faith, for her commitment and devotion to the sanctity of human life and her ministry to pregnant women in crisis. My wife, Becky sends her love as well. We are missionaries (We served in Perú for 16 years and are now working with our mission agency in Georgia).
I rejoice that Marilyn is in glory, but recognize how profoundly you and the family must miss her. Our love to all (tell Ms Carmen we send our love). You are in our prayers. I hope we can connect some time in the future. We hope to visit CT later this year.
I pray that God will draw near to you in your grief and that you will draw near to Him as well. May you know His comfort and peace in this hard place. Most of all I pray the Lord gives you an abiding sense of hope.
Much love,
Robert and Becky Cooley

Marilyn was the most precious woman I ever knew, Danny and Marilyn were like two peas in a pod, always doing things together, she had an infectious smile that lit up the whole room, I will never never forget her, she was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, a soldier, a warrior with a love for Jesus that was so incredible, A love for others, and a special love for saving the lives of the unborn, she ran her race and won the prize, I´m sure there was a glorious welcome for her in heaven.

Irene and I absolutely loved Marilyn and she was such a vital part of our life and the ministry we are involved in. We have so many wonderful memories of her and we know her and Carmen are personally responsible for saving so many babies lives. I know so many people have said this but great is her reward in heaven. Thank you, Marilyn for being part of our lives we will always love you. And we know we will see you one day again in heaven, though you will not be the same and we will not be the same and what a glorious day that will be!

I remember Marilyn smiling every time I came into the church. There she was at the welcome desk with warmth and a kind word for everyone. She´s one whose life spoke the gospel without needing many words. I was bless to know her and my good friend Danny.
