Marilyn T. Moore
November 5, 2024
Marilyn T. Moore, 88 years old, passed away on November 5, 2024, in Trumbull. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, William; and her parents, Evelyn and Francis Towle.
Marilyn was the beloved mother of son, William of Mountain View CA, daughter, Susan of Trumbull, and daughter, Ellen Macys and Robert Macys of Sunnyvale, CA. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Houde; along with three nieces and a nephew. She was born in Melrose, MA, on October 5, 1936. She skipped fourth grade. She graduated from Stoneham High School in 1953, and UMass in 1957. After that, she was a third grade teacher in Easton, CT. Marilyn went on to earn a Master's Degree in Library Science from Southern Connecticut, after which she was the head Children's Librarian at Head O' Meadow Elementary School in Newtown, from its opening until her retirement. Marilyn enjoyed reading, travel, water aerobics and embroidery. Together with her husband, they traveled to Europe numerous times.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10 AM at St. Theresa Church in Trumbull, followed by interment of her ashes at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, also in Trumbull.
