Hard to believe that it's been one year dad. My friends took me to a dinner last week in celebration of your life. They also think about you. You would have loved the food. Filet mignon... I couldn't resist.
Miss you always.

Marty Schultz, Gone one year, remembered always. I lit a Yahrzeit candle for you and will do so every year. Jen, you should do the same. Your Dad would like that.

Just learned that Marty passed away last month from my accountant, who at one time also did work for Marty. I met Marty in 1981 when he had an office in Mamaroneck and I had a business in the same building on the Post Road. We kept in touch over the years and we always said we would get together but things always got in the way but he told me about his job with standard selling alarm systems and that he had a pace maker but he never indicated he was so ill.
There are many people that you meet over a lifetime, but not many like Marty Schultz. He had a positive attitude that just would not quit. I can still see him smoking his cigar. His favorite brand in those years was "Partagas". They came in beautiful wood boxes and when they were empty, he would give them to me to bring home to the kids to decorate in their art class at school.
It's hard to think of Marty as not being alive. Even tho he was in his late 70's he always seemed like a young person. Whoever knew him will not forget him.

To know Marty is to love Marty. Marty possessed many wonderful qualities that we all wish we had. Of all of his qualities, the one that made the most profound impression on me was his eagerness to teach others. He was a selfless man who took the pleasure of teaching others. What has he taught me?...how to make matzah ball soup (fyi..its all about the chicken fat), he taught me how to negotiate ("Thais, I'm going to tell you a very important phrase that I don't want you to forget." Jen and I were sitting on the edge of our seats as he spoke to us on his deck overlooking the water, "He who speaks first, loses!" (Thanks for that one Marty, that's already come in handy!)
He was funny, intelligent, caring and had a smile and a laugh that was contagious. I hold the utmost respect for him and he will be greatly missed.

I have a picture of you in my mind puting together a deal somewhere out there. Remember when the Pope visited the US. You wanted to buy the carpet that the Pope walked on and cut it into small pieces and frame it and sell it. It was a great concept. You were a great guy and liked by everyone. There will never be another Marty.

Anyone who knew Marty Schultz will never forget him. He had a big heart and was a very smart man also. He could come up with a solution to any problem. His co-workers all thought a lot of him.

When I close my eyes I can just picture Marty's presence in my life as a college student roomate and in stories from Maureen in the years past. My love goes to Rachel, Jen(ny), Maureen and family.

Marty Schultz was without a doubt one of the greatest salesmen I have ever come across. He could sell just about anything. He also was a great multi-level marketing man. Marty you were the best. No one could fill your shoes. Rest in peace.

Marty Schultz was a true renaissance man. He was a man for all seasons. In good or bad times, Marty always had a warm smile and an upbeat attitude. He will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.

Marty(Dad) came into my life when I was 11 years old. He was dating my Mom, when we lived in Hartford. He was such a source of comfort for her, after my sister Alison passed away in May of 1969.
We didn't see eye to eye at first, since I was the man of the house for three years when my Mom was single and raising three children. It took about 3 years for me to accept him, as a Father figure. He was always there for me, taking me on his sales calls, sending me to baseball camp in Williamsport, Pa,treating me like the son he never had...
I will miss his jokes, his yiddish jibberish, his fabulous cooking, the messy kitchen he left in his wake...The way he drove thru New York City, smoking his cigar with the car windows rolled up in the winter !!! He taught me how to appreciate good food, how to barbeque correctly, and how to dress for success..
He will be missed by all, whose path he crossed...

Mr. Schultz was one of the kindest and most caring men I've ever had the privilege of knowing. I will never forget him. Thanks, Mr. Schultz, for all of the wonderful memories Jenny and I have had all because of you.
