Matilda Repasi Pleszko

PLESZKO Matilda Repasi Pleszko, age 64, devoted wife of Imre Pleszko of Fairfield, passed away in her home on Friday, June 16, 2006. Born in Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Ferencz and Ilona Szeszdai Repasi. Matilda came to the United States with her family in 1957, briefly staying in Bridgeport before moving to Fairfield 48 years ago. A dedicated, loving wife, mother and grandmother, Matilda was most joyful when sharing time with her family and dear friends. She was proud of her home and garden and would look forward to hosting picnics each summer. In addition to her beloved husband of 48 years, she will be remembered by her children, Magda Pleszko and her fiance, Thomas Readey, of Fairfield and James Pleszko and his wife, Ann, of Monroe; three cherished grandchildren, Emily, Michael and Lauren Pleszko; three brothers, Stephen and Andrew Repasi, both of Fairfield, James Repasi of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother and one sister in Hungary. Funeral services will be held on Monday 10:15 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road in Fairfield Center and 11 a.m. in St.Emery's Church. Burial will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.
