Had Mr. Taylor for English at Fairfield High School in 1993. He loved telling us the story of Moby Dick. He had such a vivid mind and taught with such enthusiasm. So sorry COVID cut his life short. You’ll be remembered always MR T. Godspeed sir.

I taught high school special education at FHS. Maynard was always great with these students, understanding their needs and showing them they can succeed. He was always compassionate and loving which is so important for all students and the teachers. Maynard always brought a smile to your face as he was happy and cheerful all the time. He was a great man and I am so sorry to hear this. Maynard's happiness wore off on those who were around him.

Prayers and Sympathy for you Kathy and your family-My memories of you Cheering on the sidelines as Maynard & Your son Marc with my husband Tom O’Dwyer & other runners would pass by in various Road Races. They always had such fun before during and afterwards especially if there was a free beer at the end of the race.
Your family was blessed to have such wonderful parents. RIP Maynard

Sincere condolences to Maynard's loved ones. I never met Maynard in person, but he and I were email pals for years. Maynard started emailing me through our Fairfield retired teacher organization. He had a lively interest in EVERYTHING and shared his thoughts freely and entertainingly. He spoke very warmly about his teaching years and the warm memories he had of students and co-workers. Though we never met in person, I consider his passing as my loss of a dear and loving friend. Rest in peace, Maynard. You made the world a better place, and you will be sorely missed.

I remember Mr. Taylor from Andrew Warde( 71-75). I didn't have him as a teacher, but he always said "hello" when I saw him in the hallways.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mr Taylor was such a pivotal influence in my life as he was for so many during our time at Andrew Warde HS 1970-74. Always with a warm smile, kind word or hearty laughter. Great teaching skills. Will never forget him. Oh, he used to get a kick from all of us visiting him as Santa Claus at the mall too. Rest in Peace Mr Taylor
