Michael Costello
Michael Anthony Costello, 77, of Stratford, beloved husband of Deborah Cataldo Costello, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 8, 2022. Born on July 17, 1945, in Bridgeport he was the son of the late Domenic Costello and Anna Dogali Costello.
Michael graduated from Harding High School, Bridgeport in 1963. He joined the Bridgeport Police Department alongside his father and brother in 1968. There, he retired at the rank of Captain after 23 years of dedicated service. He was an avid golfer, loved building things for his house and playing poker in his weekly games.
In addition to his wife Deborah, Michael is survived by his daughter, Michelle Cotton and her husband Dominic; grandson, Michael Cotton; brother, Domenic Costello and wife Stella; uncle, Chris Costello; nieces and nephew, Ann Kubel and her husband Ken, Tracy Norris and her husband Phil, Domenic Costello and his wife Danielle; several great-nieces and nephews; a great-great-niece; and his cherished cat Toni. Michael was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Costello.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford. A Prayer Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. that evening at the funeral home. Interment will be private. To leave online condolences, please visit our website at www.codywhitefuneralservice.com.
