Michael Iovino Obituary
Michael Joseph Iovino, age 37, of Bridgeport, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Born and raised in Bridgeport, Michael was a lifelong Bridgeport resident. He had attended Notre Dame High School of Fairfield and went on to Southern CT State University where he graduated with a degree in marketing. He most recently worked for Bruce Bennett Nissan of Wilton, Mike was an avid NY Yankees fan and was well known as an enthusiastic business entrepreneur. Michael is survived by his mother, Tina Iovino of West Haven, his sons Michael J. Iovino Jr, Alex and Jax Iovino, a sister Mary Iovino, Angel Santiago and their daughter Karly Ann Santiago, his favorite aunt, Nina Iovino and her companion Lane Baker of Woodbridge, Goddaughter Katie Rose Iovino, a cousin Christopher Iovino a special cousin Dottie Noble, his former wife Jessica as well as many friends and family. He was predeceased by his grandparents Joseph and Ruth Swords Iovino and his favorite uncle, Vinny. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 30, from 3-7pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center, with a prayer service at 6:30pm. I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Mike at Premier Subaru. Everytime I saw him he made me smile. We shared the same birthdate July 22nd. The other thing he did every time he saw me he would have a big smile and say "hey Cin..its almost our birthday" no matter what time of the year it was. :) He was a man with a good heart.
