Michael Tyburski Obituary

Tyburski, Michael P.
Michael Peter Tyburski, 86, of Shelton, entered into rest peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 31, 2016. He was born in Derby on February 1, 1930, son of the late Peter and Julia Skiba Tyburski.
Michael worked for The State of Connecticut before his retirement. He proudly served for twelve years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Michael was an avid fisherman, he also enjoyed going to flea markets. He especially loved playing the numbers. Michael loved being with his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all but will always remain forever in their hearts.
Michael is survived by his loving family: sister Helen Rossik of New Haven, two nieces Jeri (Joseph) Swinik of Seymour and Shirley (William) Walker of Southbury, a nephew Peter (Mary) Cintorino of Idaho, goddaughter Susan (John) Duke of Seymour, a devoted friend Gary Cammissa of Shelton, as well as several other caring nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by his sisters Emily Cintorino, Anna Stobierski, Genevieve Oko and Mary Selva and two brothers Theodore and John Tyburski.
A Funeral Service in Celebration of Michael's Life will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 12:00 pm at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village), Seymour with Deacon Ken Ewaskie, officiating. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 am until the start of the service at 12:00 pm. Interment with full military honors will be in the family plot at St. Michael's Cemetery, Derby.
Memorial Donations may be made in Michael's memory to The Emil Senger Post 10, American Legion, through the funeral home.

So sorry to hear this! I played Mike's numbers for years! He would come in and play his list of numbers and we were chat. He would throw around his "I don't care" attitude. But every time, somehow, I got him to crack a smile! I think he secretly enjoyed my company! :) rest in peace my friend!
