Nadine Audrey (Thompson) Littlefield, age 89, of Shelton, passed away April 4, 2017 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Mrs. Littlefield was born in Hunt, New York, to the late William and Florence Thompson. She graduated from Binghamton City Hospital School of Nursing, Providence-Barrington Bible College, and received master's degrees from Teachers College Columbia University in 1954 and the University of Buffalo in 1959. She was a instructor in psychiatric nursing at Erie County Medical Center and D'Youville College in Buffalo, New York, taught psychiatric nursing at the University of Bridgeport School of Nursing, and was Associate Professor of Psychiatric Nursing at Western Connecticut State University, retiring in 1991. She was a founding member of Singles Under Sail in Norwalk, Connecticut and a member of Long Hill United Methodist Church and the Trumbull Women's Club. Survivors include her loving children Cary Paul Littlefield and Joan Frances Littlefield; her cherished grandchildren Adam and Maya; her sister Frances Johnson and her husband Donald; her brothers William Thompson and his wife Betty; and Keith Thompson and his wife Elfriede and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Saturday, April 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at Long Hill United Methodist Church, 6358 Main Street, Trumbull, Connecticut. The wake will take place on April 21 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull. Interment will be private. Arrangements are in care of the Cyril F.
