Patricia Petillo Obituary

Patricia Ann Petillo
8/13/2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Petillo (Flanagan) on August 13, 2025, at the age of 87. Pat passed peacefully, at home, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on February 13, 1938, in Bridgeport, CT, Pat was a woman of quiet strength and grace. She graduated from Central High School and went on to St. Vincent's School of Nursing, where she discovered her true calling-serving others. For 50 years, Pat worked as a nurse in Bridgeport, touching the lives of countless patients with her kindness, compassion, and dedication. Her commitment to her work, and to the people she cared for, earned her the love and admiration of all who knew her.
Pat's family was the center of her world. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Michael Petillo; her son, Oreste Petillo (Andrea); her grandchildren, Michael and Daniela; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were blessed to know her. Pat was predeceased by her brother, Francis Flanagan. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of being in her life.
Those who knew Pat will remember her for her incredible generosity, her loving heart, and her endless patience. She had an unwavering devotion to her family, and her love will live on in the memories she leaves behind. Pat's love of books and reading brought her great joy and she instilled the same passion in her son and grandchildren. In her memory, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stratford Public Library, 2203 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615.
A Celebration of Life will be held, at a later date, to honor Pat's life and the beautiful impact she had on everyone she encountered.
