Paul DeCava Obituary
Paul R. DeCava, 74, of Milford, beloved husband of Patricia DeCava, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2016. He was born on June 8, 1941 in Bridgeport, CT to the late James and Edith DeCava.
Paul dedicated four years of his life to serving in the US Navy, from 1959 to 1963. While growing up, he loved being out on his hydroplane on the water, but as an adult, he advanced to boating. He enjoyed everything about the water, from fishing to beach trips. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and they will always remember the long car rides they used to take with him. Paul was also a handyman who liked to lend a helping hand to someone in need. He will always be remembered by all those whose lives he touched.
Besides his wife, Patricia, Paul leaves behind his children, Eric DeCava and Nadine Halapin; his grandchildren, Destiny Halapin, Justin DeCava and Trevor Courtney; siblings, Barbara DeCava, Judy (Mike) DeCava Dobkevich and Jimmy DeCava; and his dog, Tippy. Paul was predeceased by his son, Aron DeCava.
Friends and family may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT. Interment will be private. To leave online condolences and to view service times, please visit our website at www.codywhitefuneralservice.com.
