Paul Longo Obituary

LONGO Paul M. Longo, age 58, of Stratford, died on Saturday, January 21, 2006 surrounded by his family at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Toledo, Ohio, Paul was raised in Queens Village, N.Y., and had lived in Norwalk for more than 30 years prior to moving to Stratford. Mr. Longo was a Vietnam War veteran serving with the U.S. Navy. He was a service technician for Santa Fuel. He is survived by two beloved children, Dolores Longo and Michael A. Longo, both of Stratford; two sisters, Paula Hetherson and Michelle Burke, both of Ozone Park, N.Y.; his former spouse, Dee Longo of Stratford; one niece, Michelle Monteleone; and one nephew, John Hetherson. He had been predeceased by his father, Michael Longo. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make contributions in his memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 2141 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245.
