Paul Mulvey

MULVEY Paul Mulvey, 83, of Naples, FL beloved husband of Ann Mulvey, passed away on Nov 29, 2011. Paul was born in Bridgeport, CT on Nov 3, 1928, the son of the late Paul and Anna Mulvey. He graduated from Bassick High School in 1946 and U.B. in 1949. He started work as a postal clerk and mail carrier in 1949 in Bridgeport and worked his way up to Post Master of Norwalk. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Active in youth sports, Paul coached baseball and basketball and was past president of Park City Little League. He retired in 1986 and moved to Naples where he enjoyed playing golf and stayed active most of his life. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 62 years, Ann; daughter, Marilyn (David) Kassay of Stratford, CT; daughter-in-law, Catherine Mulvey of East Haven, CT; sisters, Virginia Rives of SC and Catherine Skurat of Shelton, CT; brothers, James (Lynn) Mulvey and Joseph Mulvey both of Downers Grove, IL; grandchildren, Christopher (Lisa) Mulvey of Shanghai, China and Wakefield, MA, Calvary Platoon Sgt. Adam (Jessica) Mulvey of Kandahar, Afghanistan and Fairbanks, AK, Melissa (Leo) Koutikas of Seymour, CT and Andrew (Beth) Kassay of Milford, CT; great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Tessa and Ellie Mulvey, Madelyn Koutikas, and Zachary and Lillian Kassay; and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son, Paul Mulvey and brother, Edward Mulvey. Paul was friendly to everyone. He always had a cheerful smile and song on his lips especially when he went to the bank, pharmacy and fitness center. His family would like to thank his doctors and Avow Hospice.
