Pedro Coutinho Obituary

Coutinho, Pedro Baia

Pedro "Peter" Baia Coutinho, age 28, of Shelton, cherished son of Domingos and Teresa Baia Coutinho, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his devoted and loving family. Born in Bridgeport on August 6, 1986 he was a graduate of Shelton High School, Class of 2008. An avid sports fan, he loved the Dallas Cowboys, enjoyed watching basketball, especially the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan and was a life-long WWE wrestling fanatic. He also found great enjoyment following his soccer team, Benfica and his baseball team, New York Yankees. His greatest love however was for his family and the time spent with them. His smile, giving nature and love will continue to live on through his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by a sister Sonia Baia Coutinho, maternal grandparents Elizeu and Carlota Baia and paternal grandfather, Jose Coutinho. In addition to his parents, Domingos and Teresa, other survivors include a loving sister, Susana Coutinho Teixeira and her husband Jose of Shelton, his cherished nieces and nephew, Sonia, Alyssa and Joseph Teixeira; paternal grandmother, Maria Meixede Coutinho of Ardaos, Portugal; Godparents, Jose and Maria Rodrigues of Bridgeport, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Daniel Rudolph and the staff of Pulmonary & Internal Medicine of Trumbull, the doctors, nurses and staff in both the Pediatric and ICU departments at Bridgeport Hospital for their care and compassion that was extended to Peter and his family during Peter's time of need. Funeral services will take place on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial.
