Peter J. Conigliaro

CONIGLIARO Peter J. Conigliaro, age 90 of Fairfield, beloved husband of the late Constance (Rita) Amalfitano Conigliaro, died peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at St. Vincent's Medical Center Bridgeport. Mr. Conigliaro was born in Carbondale, Pa. and was an area resident most of his life. He was a retired machinist for Sikorsky Aircraft. Peter was a member of Holy Family Parish in Fairfield where he was a member of the Holy Name Society Men's Club. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and University of Connecticut Women's Basketball Team. One of Peter's favorite hobbies was to go to tag sales. Survivors include his devoted sons, Sam A. Conigliaro and his wife, Elizabeth of East Brunswick, N.J. and Peter P. Conigliaro and his wife, Susan, of Ansonia; four loving grandchildren, Matthew, Gina, Michelle and Peter; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Austin Hamilton and Ashley Bianca Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend his funeral on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Ave, Bridgeport and at 10 am at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 pm.
