Peter Freeman Obituary

FREEMAN Peter A. Freeman, age 61, of Easton, died on Thursday, March 3, 2005, at Saint Vincent s Medical Center, Bridgeport, after a eight and half year battle with multiple myeloma. He was semi-retired, having been in the computer industry most of his life. He a zest for life, passion for sailing, tennis and traveling. He graduated from New Canaan High School and Princeton University (Cottage Club). He was a member/usher at the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, Fairfield, a board member and mentor for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Peter is survived by his partner of 13 years, Karen McCaffrey; two sons, Tyson and Peter; a daughter, Carrie and son-in-law, Eric; two grandchildren, Jack and Luke; his father, John; and sister, Susan. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Mach 12, 2005, at 12:30 p.m. at the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church. The Spear Funeral Home, Fairfield, is in charge of arrangements. There are no calling hours. Private funeral services were held on Saturday, March 5, for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 51 Locust Avenue, Suite 201, New Canaan, CT 06840 or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Fairfield County Connecticut Chapter, 25 Third Street, 4th Floor, Stamford, CT 06905.
