Sarah DiPanni Napoletano passed away in the early morning hours on September 5, 2025. Born and raised in New Canaan, CT, she was the daughter of Giuseppe and Annantonia (Bianco) DiPanni.
After graduating from New Canaan High School, Sarah began a career at Katzenbach and Warren as an executive secretary until her marriage to her husband of almost 68 years, Alfred “Doc” Napoletano. She lived in Stamford, CT prior to moving to Weston, CT where she remained for many years raising her family. Sarah’s family was extremely important to her, as she was to them. She dedicated her life to her husband and children, and will be remembered as a wonderful cook, meticulous homemaker and selfless caregiver to several family members.
Sarah was a long time parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi in Weston, CT where she had been an active member of the women’s group, a eucharistic minister and St. Augustine medal recipient. In her free time she enjoyed reading, crosswords, word games and the occasional game of golf.
Sarah will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loyal friend. She was predeceased by her husband, and is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Joseph DePanfilis, Lisa and Richard Albertelli, her grandchildren, Sarah, Joseph (wife Shari), Matthew (wife Ashley), Adam (wife Nicole), great-grandchildren, Nicholas, James and Emilia, her brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and JoAnn DiPanni, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on September 27, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi in Weston. Interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull, CT.
