He was a well-respected golf course superintendent for over 30 years. He worked at the Hartford Golf Club, Wykagyl Country Club, and Brooklawn Country Club before becoming the Superintendent of H. Having only met Pete a few years back on a golf course in North Myrtle Beach with my wife Lise you would think there was little I could say about him. So not true!....in 18 holes I learned he loved his Hartford Whalers, and hated the Carolina Hurricanes. He loved his family and more than anything his Bets. I knew I would have a friend for life even though we would see each other only during the winter months. I was so looking forward to his texts during the NHL playoffs as I convinced him to cheer for the Ottawa Senators

So I picture Peter singing karaoke with the angels, drinking a Tito with a splash of cran and hitting a golf ball so far and actually landing in a fairway.

So Happy Trails my friend until we meet again.

Matt, Tim, Mike, and Jack,

Your loss is immeasurable, and ever-present. Your dad's entire being was dedicated to you boys. His dedication, work, and love has resulted in you all becoming the fine, young men that you are today.
I know that you four will stick together, love one another, and support one another through whatever life throws your way, because I personally witnessed, the many ways and times he did that for you, and in doing so, taught you how to do it for each other. and that is the greatest gift a parent can give a child. He will be missed and remembered fondly. Godspeed.

We had a bamboo jungle growing on our front yard, literally 1/4 acre of our yard!!Nobody could seem to get rid of it...we hired a bunch of different people, who all failed!
Peter was dropping off John at our house one day and ask us, "You want help with that bamboo"? We said, "Sure"! He came over a few days later and sprayed it with something (never asked/didn´t want to know). A few days after that he sent his crew over to cut it down and then they dug out all the roots by hand! Peter sprayed again. They planted grass and over the 7 wonderful years we lived there, not 1 sprig of bamboo came back! He did what no other had been able to accomplish! Oh, and by way, he wouldn´t accept a penny! The man/the myth/the legend/ The bamboo conquerer!
He was a wonderful, kind human.
God has welcomed him with loving arms, I have no doubt about that!
