Ralph Carrano Obituary

CARRANO Ralph J. Carrano, age 88, of Stratford, died suddenly on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at his home. He was the widower of Theresa V. Russo Carrano. He was born in Bridgeport, on May 13, 1917. Mr. Carrano was the Stock Control manager for Walgreen's for 30 years before his retirement and was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army. He is survived by his son, John L. Caporaso Jr. of Stratford; his grandchildren, John L. Caporaso III, Jeffrey L. Caporaso and Lina M. Caporaso. He is also survived by his brother, James Carrano; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, November 11, 2005 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Church, Stratford. Burial will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.

We are very sorry for your loss. We are neighbors of Mr. Carrano. It was always a joy to talk with him while he was out for his walks and we liked hearing all his stories. He was a sweet man. We will miss him. You are in our prayers.
