Renato Marini, age 83, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Marisa Verrelli Marini, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 22, 1938 in Frosinone, Italy, he was a son of the late Attilio and Anna Turizziani Marini and was a longtime resident of Trumbull. After living in Canada with his wife for many years, they came to Bridgeport on November 11, 1972 to raise their family and achieve the American Dream. He was a machinist at Bridgeport Machine for over 24 years before his retirement. Renato was a loving and supportive husband who could always be found helping his wife at the family restaurant, Marisa's in Bridgeport and Trumbull and never letting her leave alone at the end of each night. He enjoyed watching Formula 1, soccer and the New York Yankees. His greatest memories came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be missed by all who love and knew him. In addition to his beloved wife of 52 years, Marisa, survivors include his three loving sons, Attilio Marini of New Haven, Bruno Marini and his wife Sofia of Wilton and Mario Marini of Stratford, six cherished grandchildren, Jeanette, Lauren, Ava, Vincent, Nicholas and Michael, four siblings, Gina Banfi of Italy, Fernando Marini of Italy, Pasquale Marini of Florida and Domenica Marini of Trumbull, as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Luigi Marini. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. A walk-through visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Visitors are recommended to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building.
