Richard L. Bernstein

BERNSTEIN Richard L. Bernstein, age 54 of Meriden and previously of Danbury, died Friday, March 9, 2007 at his home. He was the son of the late Arthur Bernstein and the late Frances (Komisar) Bernstein Kornblut. He was a graduate of Trumbull High School. He worked for many years as a mason in the Danbury area. He is survived by his adoptive father, Harvey Kornblut; two brothers, Stephen M. Bernstein and his wife, Lisa and Jeffrey H. Kornblut, DC and his wife, Randi, of Orange; a sister, Arlene S. Miller of Novi, Mich.; nieces, Karen, Tracey and Sarah; and nephews, Brian, Kevin, Daniel and Joshua. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Derby-Milford Road off Rt 34, Orange with Rabbi Alvin Wainhaus officiating. The family will observe a private period of mourning. Donations in his memory may be made to Congregation Or Shalom, 205 Old Grassy Hill Road, Orange, CT 06477 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
