Richard Boyd Obituary

BOYD Richard Boyd Sr., age 86, of Bridgeport entered eternal rest Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Camden, SC, he was a resident of Bridgeport since 1955. Richard served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was honorably discharged. He was previously employed 25 years with Remington Arms as a Machinist He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Frank Carlos of Massachusetts, Richard Boyd, Jr. of California, and Raymond Boyd of Stamford; one daughter, Phyllis Harrison of Bridgeport; seven grandchildren and two great-grand children. Funeral services will take place Saturday 4 p.m. at Morton's Mortuary Chapel, 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport, with Reverend Monroe Butler officiating. Interment is at the convenience of the family. Friends are invited to the viewing Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Chapel of Morton's Mortuary. See www.mortonsmortuary.com.
