Richard L. Taylor Sr.

TAYLOR Richard L. Taylor Sr., age 77, of Trumbull, beloved husband of 38 years to the late Mary Nicholas Taylor, died peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2006. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late James and Lulu Taylor. A Trumbull resident for more than 42 years, he was a retired employee of the Connecticut Post, having worked there for more than 40 years in the composing room and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. A veteran of the Korean War, he faithfully served in the Army. An active and religious member of St. George Albanian Orthodox Church, he served as an officer of the parish council and the Men-s League of St. George. A quiet and gentle person, he will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Survivors include his three sons, Richard L. Taylor Jr. and his wife, Evelyn, of Trumbull, Dr. Kevin A. Taylor and his wife, Maria, of Easton and James Taylor of Meriden; six devoted grandsons, Alex, Zachary, Ryan, Christopher, Nicholas and Joseph; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to go DIRECTLY to St. George Albanian Orthodox Church on Monday at 10 a.m. with the Archpriest Sergei Bouteneff, officiating. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Calling hours are on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street, Bridgeport (on the Trumbull line). A memorial (wake) service will be held on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
