Robert Branch Obituary

Robert M. Branch
Robert M. Branch, age 54, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024, surrounded by friends, family, and loved ones. He was a devoted father, husband, and friend who touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Bob was a loving and hardworking individual, dedicated to providing for his family and ensuring their happiness. He was the proud father of three children, Caroline, Cameron, and Pierce, who were the light of his life. His family was his greatest joy and spent countless hours making memories with them. In addition to being a wonderful father, Bob was a loving partner to his spouse, Angela, with whom he shared many years of happiness. Their bond was one of love, respect, and companionship, and together they built a home filled with laughter and love.
Bob was a valued member of his community. His brothers in the Citizens Engine Company No. 2 knew him as hardworking and determined, always willing to go the extra mile to support those around him. He will be remembered for his integrity, generosity, and fierce loyalty.
Bob spent many years as an instructor for the Valley Fire Chiefs Regional Fire School, specializing in hazardous materials and rescue programs, like rapid intervention team training. Bob was a very active and extremely respected member of the staff.
Though his passing leaves a void that can never be filled, the impact of his kindness and strength will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Angela, his children, Caroline and Pierce, step-children Alyssa Valenti (Cody) and Julia Loverci (Ken Lastra), grandchildren Sofia (Wanda) and Amelia (Mavis), his father Robert W. Branch, Jr. and his brother Tim Branch (Amy), nephew Truman, and niece Amanda.

I just found out about "Rob Bob" (as we called him at UCONN)'s passing last night. I would have loved to have seen him again. I should have been at his funeral. He was a dear friend we all loved at school. Always ready to help you with a smile on his face. The world has lost one of the nicest people ever. God bless his family.
