Robert Carney Obituary
Robert Thomas Carney passed away suddenly on January 8, 2018 in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Born in Bridgeport, CT to Josephine Zietkowski (Carney) and Joseph Thomas Carney, Robert was survived by his brother, James Carney of Trumbull, CT and his sister, Joyce Carney, also of Trumbull, CT. He was also survived by his children, Colleen Carney, Sean Carney and Shaileen Carney of Milford, CT.
Robert (Bob) was a proud Marine having served in Vietnam in 1969. He was an unapologetic Miami Dolphins fan who also enjoyed hunting, softball, traveling, movies, and music. Bob had a passion for music, enjoying mostly classic rock and oldies tunes. Some of Bob's fondest memories were spent with good friends like Jay DiNatale and family, laughing and singing their favorite songs together.
Bob became extremely interested in the RVing lifestyle after retirement, and spent his final months traveling and exploring the deserts of New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas, just to name a few. He highly enjoyed his travels, and while his time on the road was cut short, his final months were filled with excitement, adventure, and the company of good people.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 2 p.m. and will be located at Port 5, 69 Brewster Street in Bridgeport, CT.

I just found out about Bob's passing. It was quite a shock! I worked with Bob as his service mgr at the H.E. Palmer Co. for a number of years. He was a lot of fun as well as a good service technician. He will be sorely missed. So sorry for your loss.
