Robert L. DeVaux

DeVAUX Robert L. DeVaux, age 73, of South Windsor entered into rest Thursday, June 22, 2006 at the Suffield House Convalescent Center. He was the devoted husband of the late Mary Harris DeVaux. Mr. DeVaux was born in Shelton, March 5, 1933, son of the late Louis A. and Helen C. Rogowski DeVaux and was a resident of Shelton before moving to Easton where he spent the majority of his life until he retired in 1991. He was very active in the coaching and rooting on of his boys and his grandchildren. After retirement, he and his wife May enjoyed traveling back and forth from Ireland and Vermont. They were constantly together whether it be golfing, boating or just riding around the countryside. He was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He was the beloved father of Kevin DeVaux and his wife, Amy, Gary DeVaux and his wife, Tracey and Thomas DeVaux and his wife, Laura; proud grandfather of Emily, Tyler, Daniel, Whitton, Evelyn, Elizabeth and Ryan. Friends are invited to greet the family on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. His funeral service will be follow at 4 p.m. with the Rev.
