Robert Kluczinsky Obituary

Kluczinsky, Sr., Robert
Robert John Kluczinsky, Sr., 73, beloved husband of Irene (Radziszewski) Kluczinsky, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours at Griffin Hospital on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Bob was also born at Griffin Hospital on December 22, 1942, son of the late Helen (Menartowicz) Kluczinsky and Taffield Kluczinsky.
Bob lived his entire life in Oxford, growing up on his grandfather's and father's dairy farm on the corner of Hawley Road and Christian Street. It was there his passion for machines, building and animals began. After graduating from Seymour High School, he became a machinist at Farrell Corporation in Ansonia. Soon his love of the outdoors led him to the construction trade, where he retired from O&G Industries as a crane operator. He was known for his operating and building expertise. One of Bob's greatest accomplishments was building his family home with the expert guidance of his beloved late friend Bill Ryan and many family and friends working together. Bob enjoyed anything outdoors, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, motorcycling, and he was an accomplished marksman. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He leaves behind his sons Robert Kluczinsky, Jr. and his wife Deborah of West Haven, Michael Kluczinsky and his wife Kelly of Oakville, his cherished daughter Michele Kluczinsky of Shelton and his beloved grandsons Mason and Lucas Kluczinsky. He leaves behind a large extended family of sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, grand-nieces and cousins. He also leaves behind his feline shadow, Goofy.
The family would like to sincerely thank all of the caring staff at Griffin Hospital, especially the nurses and Dr. Madhu Gowda for all of their compassionate care over the past year.
A Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11:00AM, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 773 Oxford Road, Oxford, CT 06478. Burial will be private.
Expressions of sympathy in Bob's memory may be made to Griffin Hospital Development Fund, 130 Division Street, Derby, CT 06418.
