Robert Limbacher Obituary

LIMBACHER Robert " Kurt " Limbacher, age 53 of Milford, beloved husband of 20 years to Susan (Kohloff) Limbacher, passed away suddenly at his home, Saturday, October 3, 2009. He was the son of Robert and Joann (Golden) Limbacher of Dorset, Vt. and his in-laws, Paul and Mary Kohloff of Milford. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Kurt will be greatly missed by his step-daughter, Courtney Boccuzzi and her husband, John Lauture; cherished granddaughter, Mia Lauture of Bridgeport; his two sisters, Jane Brown and her husband, Mike of Minnesota and Martha Jo Gawell and her husband, Karl of Maryland; several nieces and nephews; and his loving dog, Chiclet. Born in Manhattan, N.Y. on December 14, 1955, Kurt attended Kimball Union Academy and Graham University. Kurt was a valued employee as a sales & marketing manager at Sonic Corporation in Stratford for seven years. He was also a member of Morningside's Association By-Law Revision Committee. He loved all sports and was an avid NY Mets and NY Jets fan. Kurt enjoyed Friday night Happy Hour and gatherings at Lloyd's Lounge with family and close friends. He especially loved long walks by the water with "The Chicken." Even though he had no children of his own, he cherished, took care of and treated his step-daughter, Courtney and grandchild, Mia as if they were his own. Kurt was a sweet, caring and loving man with a huge heart. Unfortunately, he left this world too early and although he had such a short time on this earth he left a lasting impression with everyone and anyone he came in contact with. He will be greatly missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2009 in the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford at 1 pm. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kurt's memory may be made the charity of one's choice. www.codywhitefuneralservice.com.

Sue
I've thought of you and Kurt over the last few years wondering how you were. I'll always remember the fun happy hours at Mackenzies and will never forget that Kurt wouldn't let you drink bottled water in the house. It's only for car trips! What fun he was. God Bless You,
