Robert Wittekind Obituary
Robert (Bob) C. Wittekind, age 91, of Fairfield, CT, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, March 31, 2025, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Carl Wittekind and the late Marie McAllister Wittekind.
Bob began his career in sales and marketing with Johnson & Johnson, and he later became a marketing executive in the chemical industry, most notably with Stauffer Chemical. Upon his retirement, he volunteered with the Service Corps of Retired Executives for almost 20 years.
Surviving are Bob's loving wife of 51 years, Sue Carroll Wittekind, and their daughters, Jennifer Garran (Peter) of Boston, MA, and Heather Mahland (Erik) of New York City, along with his grandchildren, Peter and Gloria Garran and Grace and Margaux Mahland.
A memorial service will be held at Greenfield Hill Congregational Church on May 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
