Sure miss my colleage at WMNR. He was the most fiercely dedicated broadcaster that I've known. Uncompromising in his efforts to promote good music, to expand our horizons and through it all, in a humble rather than a self-serving way. I learned quite a bit from Ron, who made an inestimable contribution to our joint purpose.

So sorry to learn of Ron's passing. During my time at WMNR we became good friends. We were frequently on air together during "Pledge Week" and we somethmes drove to Boston togeether with Ron's friend Bob for the Boston Symphony on Friday afternoons. After I left WMNR we lost touch, which I regret, especially now. He left us much too soon. Godspeed, my friend.

I met Ron Dudak at the WMNR open day in 2004. A genial fellow. I made certain not to miss his program on Wednesday evenings, right after Delphine Marcus. I loved his colourful weather reports - "up in the hills"! I have missed him greatly.

Ron and I worked together at radio station WNAB in Bridgeport in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It didn't take long to realize how gifted and dedicated Ron was. He had love of classical music and a love for life. He was also deeply religious. He took me to my first concert at Tanglewood and helped me appreciate classical music. The world would be a much better place if there were more people like Ron. You will be missed.

Ron and Mr. Mullaney helped teach me to really enjoy classical music at Blackham School in the late 60's and I like to think I taught them a little bit about Rock and Roll. Rest in Peace Old Friend.

Ron leaves a legacy of going above and beyond what could be asked of a broadcaster, which was how I knew him. He was self-taught, as far as the music was concerned, yet knew more than many trained musicians I've known. An insatiable desire to learn and probe deeper into the music was always evident, and there was a great deal to admire in him and try to emulate. I will miss him.

Ron was not only an eminent broadcaster (WMNR, WICC, WNAB), a valuable resource on varied music genre, and a humorist, but he was a true and caring friend.
Ron will be very much missed by his audience, broadcast colleagues and his many friends.
What a great loss!

I worked with Ron at WNAB Radio when he was the night announcer in the 1980's. He was a pleasure to work with. He was an avid classical music fan and was fortunate to share his love of music with the audience at WMNR Radio. So sorry to learn of his passing.

I had the pleasure of working with Ron in commercial radio (WNAB Bridgeport Ct) in the early 1980's. His show followed mine on Sundays. He was always the ultimate professional on the air. I remember in later years listening to him on WMNR (Monroe, Ct), a non-commercial station where he announced for the fun of it, not a paycheck. It is so sad that a person like this was called home so early in life. I will always have fond memories of him.

I knew Ron in the days before Fine Arts on WMNR. In fact he was the fine arts. His "Classical Collage" brought appreciation and interest in the classics to many. Ron was a friend and a guide to me when I was in High School. He could be a perfectionist who demanded the best from himself, and helped others improve. As a broadcaster, all those who heard that amazing voice of his will always remember him from WMNR,WNAB,and WICC. He made an impact wherever he went. Ron was also a knowledgeable Beatles fan, a Star Trek fan, and a committed Christian. When I was a teenager, Ron made an impact on my own faith development by his many quotes of scripture, and by breaking down each song of "Jesus Christ Superstar" with the events in the Bible. To this day, Ron is the reason I listen to it every year during Holy Week.
Ron Dudak made a difference with his life. I thank God I knew him.
