Robert B Dudak

Robert Bernard Dudak, 82 of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024 at his home. He was born September 26, 1941 in Gary, Indiana, the son of Michael and Julia (Kanuscak) Dudak. Robert graduated from Froebel High School. Robert worked at the Gary Community Schools, for over 50 years in the maintenance department. He was a US Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 367 in Gary, Indiana. Surviving is his wife, Catherine "Kitty" (Bologna) Dudak of Valparaiso, daughter, Irene (Kevin) Itczak of Lowell, IN, grandchildren, Robert and Matthew Itczak and Catherine and Richard Barber all of Valparaiso. H e was preceded in death by his daughter Elizabeth (Brent) Barber, brothers Thomas (Naomi) Dudak of Leesburg, IN and Michael (Geraldine) Dudak of Merrillville, IN. Many nieces also survive him. Bob enjoyed all sports but he was especially an avid Notre Dame fan, he also enjoyed fishing, tinkering, and just about anything else. Visitation will be held Monday, July 15, 2024 9:00 am until time of mass at 10:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, Valparaiso, Rev. Roque Meraz officiating. Memorial Donations may be made to the Catholic charity of their choice.
