Rose Taylor Obituary

TAYLOR, ROSE MARIE
Rose Marie Taylor, 82, entered eternal rest on January 1, 2017 at 6:05 a.m. in West River Rehab Center in Milford. She was born April 20, 1934 in Washington D.C. to the late Lillian and Cornelious B. Weeks. She resided in Bridgeport for the past 53 years.
Rose went to Dunbar High School in Washington D.C., then attended Howard University, where she met her husband-to-be with whom she had three beautiful children. She began her real estate career in 1972, and became one of the most successful realtors in Connecticut, eventually retiring at the young age of 80. She was an original member of the Fairfield County chapter of Chums, Inc.
She is predeceased by her parents, four sisters, a brother, and a nephew. She is survived by her sons Kirk and his wife Richelle, Stephen and his wife Dulce; her daughter Cheryl; her brother Cornelius B. Weeks, Jr and her sister Leelia J. Padilla; two cherished grandchildren Dillon Michael and Ashley Rose; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the John T. Rhines Funeral Home 3005 12th St NE, Washington D.C. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service. Interment will follow in the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery 4001 Suitland Rd, Suitland, MD. A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Golden Hill United Methodist 210 Elm St, Bridgeport CT. Those who wish to speak at the memorial please contact [email protected] or (818) 470-4070. Flowers and contributions are welcome, including donations to Rose's favorite charities: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

To the Taylor family, I would like to send my condolences to the passing of Ms Rose. Hiring me to help clean up outdoors and indoors of properties to B sold was a great experience, but the best part was meeting and knowing this Beautiful and Funny Lady, Thanks to my brother Jerome I've had this pleasure.
