RoseMarie Ajello Obituary

AJELLO RoseMarie Breda Ajello, age 73 of Heritage Village in Southbury, previously of Seymour, entered into eternal rest at her home on Thursday, March 11, 2010. She was born to the late William Breda and Elizabeth and Alexander Tretiak, June 14, 1936 in Derby and graduated from Ansonia High School in 1954. A passionate and loving wife, mother of six, grandmother of twelve and great-grand-mother of seven, Rose's family was her full-time job. She was passionate about caring for and making a difference in the lives of her children. As tireless as she worked to keep her ever-growing and loving family connected, Rose also dedicated her life to the Catholic community. She was an active member of The Good Shepherd Church in Seymour, a member of the Miraculous Medal Association, and in her "down time" made thousands of Rosaries for the Our Lady of Rosary Missionaries in Louisville, KY. When Rose wasn't tending to her children, she could only be found working in her kitchen. She loved to bake, and her famous homemade pies, raisin breads and pastas have kept friends, family, neighbors and parishioners' bellies delighted for years. Mrs. Ajello is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Thomas R. Ajello, Sr.; her six children, Donald (Holly) Ajello of Dunnellon, Fla., Lisa DeLaTorre of Naples, Fla., Joan (James) Elliott of Beacon Falls, Theresa (Robert) Copperthite of Ansonia, RoseAnn (Robert) Browning of Waterbury and Thomas (Sally) Ajello III of Bridgeport; her sister, Elizabeth (William) Bloomingdale of Oxford; two brothers, William (Gloria) Breda of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and Andrew Breda of Ansonia; and her uncle, Ralph (Karen) D'agosta of Danbury. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by two sisters, Annette Bazzinotti and Joan Breda. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 16 at 9 am in the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT 67), opposite Klarides Village, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. at The Church of The Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road in Seymour. Interment in the family plot at Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Friends and relatives my call at the Funeral Home on Monday, March 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Church of The Good Shepherd Improvement Fund, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour, CT 06483, and/or to The Lupus Foundation of America, 270 Farmington Avenue, Suite 218, Farmington, CT 06032.

Grandma,
I love you with all my heart, if I didn't know you, and you weren't there on the other side of the phone yelling at Michael to stop scaring me, I wouldn't know what to do. We will all miss you. I will miss sleeping by your side when Poppa was coming home late. Waking up to your voice or the slapping of your slippers. What makies me happy is that last Friday you got to see me sing, I was happy that you got to. You will ALWAYS be in my heart.
I love you, and will miss you dearly.

Nanna,
We love you and will miss you. We always liked when Mommy and Daddy told us Nanna and Pop-Pop were coming. We always got so excited and couldn't wait to jump on you and lick your face. We will miss the kisses and hugs and especially the extra "treats" you tried to sneak us when Mommy and Daddy weren't looking. Please watch over us all...we need you now more than ever. We hope that when it is our time to cross the Rainbow Bridge that you will be there to meet us. Until then go to Heaven knowing we loved you!
Your "Grand Kids",
Redd & Josie

There aren't enough words to describe the loving nature of Rosemarie. Her passing has left a void unimaginable. In it's place are all the memories of the many kindnesses, favors, time and love she gave to others. My prayers are with the family of this wonderful woman. AnnMarie Gazsi
