Rosemarie Mette Donahue Wright
Rosemarie (Mette, Donahue) Wright, age 68, of Stratford and a former resident of Milford passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Lord Chamberlain in Stratford. Rosemarie was born on April 10, 1954 in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Genevieve (Copsetta) Mette.
Rosemarie was an avid reader of anything and everything she could get her hands on. She was a music enthusiast, enjoyed crafts, loved family get-togethers, a softball mom and above all a devoted grandmother. Rosemarie was a past CCD instructor at St. Mary's Church and a Girl Scout leader at Meadowside School. Throughout the years, Rosemarie worked at Grolier Telemarketing, ADP, the Milford Citizen and as a hairdresser. She also proudly earned her GED later in life. Rosemarie will be remembered for her free spirit, her incredible sense of humor, her mischievous smile and the strength she showed each and every day fighting Multiple Sclerosis.
Rosemarie is survived by her loving daughters Melissa Donahue and partner Kimberly Fletcher of West Haven and Jennie-Lynn (Michael) Mainville of Milford; her adored grandchildren Gabriel, Nicki and Cody and soon-to-be grandchildren Katie, Kayla and Keira. She is also survived by three brothers Russell, Richard, and Robert Mette. Rosemarie leaves behind many other family and friends whom she loved dearly, as well as her best friend Gail. Rosemarie is predeceased by her parents and grandchildren Gabriella and Nicholas.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf Street, Milford, CT 06460. (PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH).
