Russell Peterkin, age 74, of Shelton passed away peacefully at home on October 6, 2023, surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Russ was devoted to his family and is survived by his son Nate, his son, Jesse, his daughter-in-law, Ashmi, his grand-daughter, Riya, his sister, Denise Miller, his nephew Derek Miller with his wife Melissa and their daughters Ava and Izabella and many other family members and loved ones. Russ also loved dogs and is survived by his dog Gracie who was always by his side.
Born in the Bronx on October 1, 1949, to the late Frank and Alda Peterkin, Russ grew up with a love for the New York Yankees. He and his family moved to Brewster, NY where he graduated in 1967 from Brewster High School. Russ received his bachelor's degree in business at the University of St. Joseph's in Maine and went on to work for many years as a successful engineering recruiter. In retirement, Russ enjoyed spending time with his loved ones including vacationing with family, golfing, fishing and boating on Long Island sound.
