Sonia Wallach Obituary

Sonia Acosta Wallach
September 27, 1943 - August 1, 2025
Sonia Acosta Wallach passed away peacefully on August 1st, 2025. Known for her radiant smile that seemed to see into the kindest parts of your soul, Sonia touched many lives with her warmth, grace, and generosity. She was married to her beloved husband, Stewart, for over 62 years, a testament to their deep love and commitment.
A talented cake decorator, Sonia brought joy to many through her beautiful and delicious wedding cakes, lovingly made for those she cared about most. Her creativity and skill were a reflection of her generous and warm heart.
Her greatest joy in life was her family- her son, Ken Wallach, daughter, Florie Wallach Colacurcio, son-in-law, Frankie, and her five cherished grandchildren, Christina, Lindsay Marie, Morgan Rose, Jordan Olivia (JoJo), and Ryan (with whom she will now reunite in Heaven). They were the light of her life and a source of endless pride and love. They will forever cherish her love and guidance.
Sonia's warmth and kindness touched all who met her, leaving a lasting impression of love and laughter. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
A Mass will be held on Monday, August 25th, at 10:30am at Our Lady of Grace Church, located at 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, CT. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
