Stephanie S. Tuzin Rooney, age 88, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Robert E. Rooney died on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Boston, MA on July 26, 1924 she was a daughter of the late John J. and Eugenia Barr Tuzin and was a longtime resident of Brooklyn Heights, NY before moving to Bridgeport in 1982. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a daughter, Stephanie Doyle, a brother, Bronislaus Tuzin and a great nephew, Benjamin Lee Bero. Survivors include two sisters, E. Anne Revere Ward of Huntington and Helen J. Stacy of Bridgeport as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Margaret Shrine, 2539 Park Ave., Bridgeport on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Assoc. of the Northeast, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108. To light a virtual candle, visit us at www.abriola.com.
