Dad, you and mom will always live on in my heart. I know you are smiling down on us, reunited with your bride and holding her hand. The look on your face last week when I showed you a picture of mom said it all. You were unresponsive to Erin, Jenn and I. You had a distant stare when you looked at us. You did feel the warmth of our hands and and we felt you squeeze them when we spoke to you. I know it was your way of saying that you knew we were there and that you loved us. But the look on your face at mom's picture brought us to tears. Your eyes opened so wide and a huge smile appeared on your face. Your love and dedication for each other was so apparent. Dad, I will always remember the times I went to work with you when you worked overtime at the basketball games. I always worried about your safety as a police officer. I did not want anything to happen to you. I thought that if I went with you, that you would be safe. I also remember going to an extra mass, just so you would not have to go alone. I will also remember all the times you asked the nurses for me when you were in the hospital and at The Village. I know I had a special place in your heart! Love you ,Dad!!!!
