Steven Bloomberg Obituary

Bloomberg, Steven P.
Steven P. Bloomberg, age 60, of Milford, beloved husband of Susan Bloomberg, passed away on November 13, after a battle with kidney cancer. Steven was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 9, 1952 to the late Leo and Rosalind Bloomberg. Steven became a dedicated psychiatric registered nurse in 2000. With a heart of gold, he gave to others above and beyond. He worked for several Connecticut hospitals and various home care agencies. He will be missed by all he touched. Survivors include his three sons; David and his wife Megan, Nathan and his wife Lori, and Luke Bloomberg; step-daughter, Michelle Devlin Long and husband Joshua, a brother and sister in law; brother in law and sister in law, Howard and Gale Zeidman of NY; father in law, Leon Zeidman, and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to all medical oncology staff, palliative care and Chaplains at Saint Raphael Hospital in New Haven and Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Friends may call on Friday afternoon from 1:30-2:30PM in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. A memorial service will be held at 2:30PM in the funeral home, followed by the burial in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Father Michael J. McGivney Center for Cancer Care c/o Dr. Christin Knowlton, 1450 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06511 or CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, CT 06405. Please accept our Deepest Condolences.Steve will always be remembered in our Hearts, For all the Time and Great work all 200% of it he did for my son Mark Barber (one of Steve's special Children) while he was sick, God only takes the Special Ones to help him with Special things, That only Special ones can do. I can't seem to find the right words.... We have lost "a member of the family" for everyone who was lucky enough to know/work with Steve feels the loss. Heaven has received an angel and his spirt will live on in all who were blessed to know him.
