I will always remember him. Conversations with him were always most enjoyable and informative. It was a pleasure to work with him as well.

I'm just learning about Steve's passing and I'm devastated. He was a wonderful neighbor and friend.
Steve was an exemplary father and devoted so much free time to our school.
He will be greatly missed.

Steve, was an inspirational mentor to me at such a pivotal time in my life.
I’d just switched careers from architecture to tech when I worked with him, and he encouraged me to explore my curiosity - even when it didn’t align with what we were doing at work. In our time working together, I picked up the coding bug and learned invaluable skills that still serve me to this day. He was an excellent collaborator, loved to share music and movies, and I will always look back on our days together fondly.
Rest well my friend.

When we were all together in K-205, Steve volunteered every single day. The kids loved him, and saw him as a surrogate parent in class.
Steve had a wonderful sense of humor. He knew the lyrics to every song ever written, I believe. And could sing them all!
Steve led small groups in fun activities, and the kids loved learning because of his good nature and fun approach to everything.
If we did puppets, he would help Emily build a puppet theater at home and make up plays. He always extended the lessons beyond the classroom.
Steve came on nearly every trip. He faced the lunchroom noise and helped open milk and containers.
When we had dance class, he would dance with us. When we sang, he sang the loudest. He made us laugh all the time. He made our class a joyous place to be.
It was a year of wonderful kids and parents, and so many volunteers. We were so lucky to have each other.
As we shared the joy, we must share the sadness, too. We keep our dear ones alive in our memories. Let us support Janet and Emily as best we can, as they will feel the deepest loss for this incredible and irreplaceable man. Life will never be the same for them. We love you, Steve.

I last saw Steven at his grandmother's funeral last winter, just before covid. I remember that we had a sweet, lovely conversation catching up on each other's family and life. I am so grateful to have spent that time with him and got to know him better. I will miss him. May his memory be a blessing
